Trayon Campers has been producing slide-on campers since 1994 exclusively in Australia on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. With the foremost focus being on manufacturing light-weight, compact and strong campers for off-road tray back utes; Trayon quickly gained a reputation for quality, Australian made slide-on campers.
Each camper that Trayon manufactures receives a production number stamped onto all 4 of the external corner braces of each camper. Trayon #001 is still in use today in Gympie, QLD.
Recently a milestone was reached not only for Trayon itself, but also for the class-2 slide-on camper industry of Australia; Trayon built its 1000th camper.
Camper #1000 is a Trayon 1980 Diesel-Deluxe to suit either a single-cab or extra-cab tray back ute and was put aside for an important reason. Trayon Campers will be donating the proceeds of the sale of Trayon #1000 to the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) – Queensland Section; as a thank you to those dedicated health professionals that provide vital emergency aeromedical and primary health care services to those that live, work and travel across the wider and remote expanses of our country (including Trayon Owners).
This donation will help keep the Flying Doctor flying, and will be used specifically to assist in the funding of vital lifesaving medical equipment.
The RFDS provides vital aeromedical and primary health care services to over 290,000 Australians each year, that’s one person every two minutes, and has been doing so since 1928.
Trayon has decided to celebrate the milestone, with the proceeds of sale from the Trayon Camper #1000 to be donated to the RFDS to pay respect to the vital support and care the Flying Doctor provides right across Australia.
To those of our customers who travel across our beautiful country’s spectacular outback landscape with one of our Trayon campers, you can do so with confidence, knowing that the RFDS will be there in your time of need, as it continues to be for hundreds of rural and remote communities.
Trayon Camper #1000 is now sold, the proceeds have been donated to the RFDS Queensland Section.
