We attended the Land Rover 70th Anniversary at Cooma.  Saw one other Trayon on another Defender, but didn't get a photo.

On top of Mt Gibbo.  A quite steep little track, and the first test for the Defender/Trayon combo, both of which took it in it's stride.

Ferny Flat Campground on the Mitta Mitta River.  There's so many beautiful campsites in this part of the world, it makes it hard to choose!

On top of Blue Rag Range.  This is one of the iconic 4WD tracks of the Vic High Country.  While it looked quite daunting, it caused us no concern.

At Native Dog Campground, Alpine NP.  Thought it got a bit cold during the night, and in the morning I could see why from the ice on the spare!

.jpg   IMG_3246.JPG (Size: 2 MB / Downloads: 5) ]]> <![CDATA[Victoria High Country Tag a Long Tour]]> https://www.trayon.com/forum/thread-658.html Wed, 28 Feb 2018 07:04:04 +0000 #1039]]> https://www.trayon.com/forum/thread-658.html I went on a 5 day, 4 night tag a long tour thru the Victoria High Country.  Our group of 8 trucks took some difficult tracks to get to Eaglevale Campground along the Wonnangatta River.  You could also take the Wonnangatta 2WD road from Dargo, but what's the fun in that.  Once at the camp, I took the Trayon off for the duration.  As I lost a bit of weight on the tail end so the Ranger had a few issues with steep hills and tyre spin.  If I were to do more of this type of 4WDing I would consider a rear diff locker as a future purchase.  We did Billy Goat Track, a bucket list item and many others.  A swim in the river at day's end was lovely.  It rained a bit on the last night so we took the easy/smart way out and not up the hill.  The Trayon worked it's magic; nice bed, cold beer at the end of the day and a lovely veranda to stay out of the rain.

We drove across from South West WA to Queensland in April '17 to pick up our brand new Trayon, with only a few weeks off work to pick it up and get home.  So our first trip was back to WA via NSW and SA., revisiting the Flinders Ranges.  We have loved every minute we have spent in it. #1015]]>
